Texturizing

Our workshop accomplishes texturing or how it is often called texturing– embossing of moulding surface construction or other mounting. We realize matrix’s texturizing from all known tool steel which includes rust resisting alloys as well as aluminium, beryllium bronze and other alloys. On extraordinary occasions there may be existence of surfacing traces on matrix’s moulding surface.
When it is necessary we give recommendations to manufacturers about the mounting which is entitled to texturing especially in questions of material selection and repair jobs’ realization which can appear in manufacturing process. Matrix size and weight is unrestrained, but when the weight is more than 2000 kg it is necessary to have prior consent.

The most accurate exploiting of moulds for plastics articles casting with a texturized surface is not able to prevent from gradual quality loss of received production’s exterior. There are a lot of reasons for it: impurity hard spots in polymer melt, minor breakages and system upset of castings pushing, bench tool use for casting’s remove, accidental damages in the process of assembling-disassembling during minor repairs. Special mention should go to the irregularity of texture as a result of moulding surface corrosion in the process of moulds’ shipping and storaging: even imperceivable ingress of moisture leads to disastrous effects for moulding surfaces. The reasons for it - is a non-use of corrosion-preventive greases, low quality of steel, which is used to manufacture moulds, as well as an extreme susceptivity of texturized surfaces to corrosion.
Texturized surfaces defects may look like different-sized dimples, disconnected guide marks, traces of corrosion in the form of “hollow ulcers” or spots with a disrupted texture (fig. 4). There may be a surface damage after using hard or abrasive tools. As a result of it, practically a working mould does not provide useful quality of produced castings. A need arises to renovate disturbed texture of shape-generating mold block surface. At first sight this problem seems not really significant and enterprises begin experimenting on elimination of occurred defects. However, not every company which deals with plastic articles’ casting has got in its staff qualified specialists in a mould repair and moreover specialists who have the necessary know-how on a texturizing technology and textures repair. Having tried by available means to renovate geometry of a shape-generating mould part using surfacing and following fitter's work and having got a negative result –enterprises apply to organizations, which deal with texturing with a request to repair this texture. But, unfortunately, inaccurately carried out actions become a draw-back for proficient renovation.
The workshop performs local complete renovation of texture. Depending on the type of a defect and matrix’s size there is a possibility to have repair works straightforwardly at the customer’s without a mould complete disassembly. In this case mounting downtime significantly reduces.

Engraving

The same as in the process of mounting manufacture so in the process of exploiting appears the necessity of application of alphamerical information, logotypes and icons on mounting parts. As a rule, these works are carried out on spark-erosion equipment. But this is not always possible, especially if there is a necessity of engraver's works on previously exploited model. The workshop will help you to make any alphamerical information engraving during two hours straightforwardly in the casting manufactory. Font size is from 1 mm. Engraving depth depends on the font size and runs to 1mm. Moreover, we can engrave a necessary figure with a photographic accuracy, having a resolution 100 microns. In such a case material of a part and curvature of surface don’t play a great role.

Texturing working out

Depending on a future part’s purpose which will be manufactured by a plastic casting method, on the basis of his/her own vision a designer of a product – an automobile, a household device, computer – chooses visual environment of a surface part. When you choose a texturized surface, you should take into account conditions of part’s exploiting and its conjunction with mating parts if it is not part of interior, for example car’s interior. As a rule, auto developers look up to texture prototypes by leading world companies in this sphere. Enterprises of other manufacturing sectors most often look up to similar reference parts in their choice.
The workshop carries out orders on texturizing in both cases mentioned above. We can also offer our own texture variants. There is a frequent necessity of ultimate texture mating parts repeat in the automobile interior parts. We have gained enough experience in this area and we have developed manufacturing methods for achieving ultimate similarity with an offered referent part. Besides we use manifold possibilities of modern computer-generated graphics.

Timing of orders

Timing of orders and cost depend on many factors. As a rule, it takes from 3 to 5 working days for texturizing matrix of casting mould in area for some decimeters.
